GVA is delighted to be partnering Manchester at the MIPIM event. This is a departure for GVA as normally we have a major corporate and international stand but this year we have taken the conscious decision to support our main regional cities in their specific MIPIM events.
Why have we done this? Well, in any economic downturn there is an inevitable retrenchment of property interests and money back to London and the South East and we see one of the challenges is to ensure that the regions have a strong voice. As one of, if not the, largest firms in the city, we are passionate about Manchester and the North West region and we want to help fly that flag internationally at MIPIM.
We are also coming to MIPIM to fly the flag for 1 St Peter’s Square which is the only prime office scheme coming out of the ground this year in central Manchester. Following on from the successful part pre-letting to KPMG we will be actively promoting this scheme to other users.
The scheme, a joint venture between Greater Manchester Property Venture Fund and Argent will provide the only new supply so is a special scheme. We will also be promoting our retained client the Greater Manchester Property Venture Fund (GMPVF) who has a war chest of £300m in cash and is actively seeking investment and development opportunities.
I am happy to meet up with anyone at MIPIM to explain more about GVA but take a look at our website as a starting point www.gva.co.uk
For us though MIPIM is really all about helping to support Manchester and the North West region.
